Access & Affordability
Look beyond equipment cost to what toileting care requires every day, along with payment and support options that may help make Carebidet accessible.
A better way to compare
Traditional incontinence care is an ongoing daily expense. Carebidet can automate key parts of toileting care while providing washing, drying and waste removal in bed.
*Illustrative financing example, not a universal offer. Carebidet may reduce reliance on some disposable products and direct toileting tasks, but individual savings vary based on care needs, product usage and caregiver arrangements.
Illustrative care cost comparison
This example uses a typical care situation to show how supplies and caregiver assistance can affect overall cost.
Unpaid family caregiver time is shown in the caregiver hours column but is not assigned a dollar cost. Filter and cleaning fluid costs remain included at $70 each every six months.
Illustrative example only. Every care situation is different, and actual costs may vary significantly based on individual needs, frequency of care, caregiver arrangements, supplies used and the level of assistance required. Default values illustrate a typical situation and may be changed. The Carebidet estimate includes a $70 filter and a $70 bottle of cleaning fluid allocated over six months, plus laundering of the reusable motion control wrap. Payment examples are estimates and are not offers of credit.
Look beyond disposables
For many families, the larger cost is the repeated direct care surrounding each toileting event.
In one family’s Carebidet experience, wet wipe use decreased by 97%, showing how automated washing may substantially reduce reliance on some disposable cleaning supplies. Individual results will vary. View the Weissenblu example →
Other possible funding paths
Availability and eligibility vary. COHealth can help you identify which paths may be relevant to your situation.
State AT Act programs may offer financing, resources for device access or other assistance. Florida and Arizona are examples already identified by COHealth.
Varies by stateLearn about the AT Act →COHealth is working toward access through military ECHO funding pathways for qualifying families. Individual authorization requirements apply.
Pathway being pursuedDepending on the individual, disability savings accounts, grants, foundations or other resources may be worth discussing with a qualified advisor.
Individual circumstances varyMedicaid waiver programs administered by individual states may provide funding for eligible assistive technology or related supports. Coverage, eligibility, authorization and purchasing procedures differ by state and waiver.
Varies by state and waiverFind Medicaid waivers by state →Some nonprofit organizations and foundations offer grants, equipment assistance or other support for people living with ALS, stroke, spinal cord injury, paralysis and other conditions. Eligibility, geographic limits, application procedures and permitted purchases vary. Not every program will fund Carebidet, but COHealth can help explore potentially relevant opportunities with the family and the organization.
Funding is not guaranteedAsk COHealth to explore grant options →Medicare and Medicaid
Carebidet has established HCPCS codes E3001 and A9286; however, COHealth does not currently bill, accept or process Medicare or Medicaid payments or claims. A state Medicaid waiver program may independently authorize funding for an eligible individual, depending on that state’s program and purchasing requirements. Coverage, authorization and reimbursement are not guaranteed, and the existence of HCPCS coding does not establish coverage.
